Palo Alto, CA or Arlington, VA - Full-stack Python/Coffeescript Developer - LOCAL or REMOTE (full-time preferred) We're one of the thousands of startups doing social networking. Our focus is on groups and events. We think we have something unique to offer the world and are launching a beta in DC in April and expanding after that. We've built a real-time stack that bridges backbone.js <-> socket.io <-> gunicorn+gevent <-> django. The web application is nearly all single-page architecture, with both web and mobile making use of an API. We use coffeescript pretty much everywhere. * backend: python, django, gevent, gunicorn, nginx, postgres * frontend: coffeescript, jQuery, backbone.js, socket.io, compass We're looking for an advanced full-stack web developer. You know a lot about several or all of the above. Backend/frontend/query optimization/deployment. We'll be growing our user base very soon -- we've amassed a small army of interns at most colleges around DC and need knowledge/experience optimizing and scaling the above technologies to handle growth.
