Core Competencies -Ability to document new processes and changes to the database environment -Experience configuring, administering, or developing for MS SQL Server 2008/2012 - Excellent SQL skills and understanding of triggers, stored procedures, and indexed views - Ability to diagnose and triage production issues without supervision - Ability to work directly with internal customers / project owners - Experience with performance tuning and ability to find and tune query- or server-scoped performance bottlenecks - Test and release changes to databases in the context of a software release lifecycle - Ruthless prioritization skills – you know the different between “urgent” and “URGENT,” and those last-minute, behemoth requests don’t even make you blink - Equally strong commitment to leaving things better than you found them AND leaving a lasting, positive impression - You must love data!
