OwnLocal provides online marketing tools to small businesses through our partners. We work with some of the biggest media companies in the world to provide our tools to their customers. Our web apps are Ruby on Rails on MySQL with a little Postgres. We've built a big API on ElasticSearch which serves billions of requests per month. You will be responsible for managing our database servers, optimizing them to scale, help troubleshoot problems (eg we have a lot of deadlocks), and work with the rest of the engineering team on database design and migrations.
