As a Software Engineer at HPR you will build upon your proven software engineering abilities as we advance the state of the art in high performance computing and electronic trading. You will design, develop, and debug C applications that run on multi-core Linux systems to process large amounts of high-throughput, low-latency network data. As a member of a small team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with customers that are using the products that you develop.
Required Skills
• MS/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related
• 2+ years of relevant work experience within similar environment
• Established track record of delivering high quality results in a professional engineering organization
• Strong C programming skills
• Strong Linux application development skills
• A passion for writing software that is clean, simple, and elegant
• Proficiency with concurrency and multi-threaded architectures
• Proven experience with socket programming and TCP
• Proven experience with C++, Java
• Proven experience with scripting languages such as Python and Shell
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrable ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
