CCAT-prime Telescope | Toronto | Developer | Full-time | Onsite | https://ccatp.ca We're building a 6-meter diameter telescope on a mountain in Chile's Atacama Desert to learn more about how stars form, the nature of dark matter and dark energy, neutrino masses, and the big bang. The telescope will be shared by multiple instruments, and our group is building the joint software infrastructure: services for controlling the telescope, moving data around, monitoring, alerting, logging, etc. Stack is still being decided but likely a mix of Go, Python, Redis, Postgres, etc. The telescope site is remote and hostile -- altitude of 5600m in the driest desert on Earth -- so we're focused on fault-tolerance.
