Building autonomous robotic systems requires addressing challenging problems regarding real-time perception, decision-making, high-dimensional planning, and robust motor control. We’re seeking Research Engineers who will help overcome these technical challenges, share our motivation to advance fundamental science, and create revolutionary prototypes. This position requires significant experience performing software engineering, in C/C++ and Python. Our research engineers are expected to create and maintain software systems, and support and participate in research. We’re hiring for: Robotics Research Engineer Experience Requirements: *5+ years of professional C++ experience *Extensive experience with software engineering practices; code review, source code control, testing, profiling, etc. *Extensive experience with Linux and Git *Extensive experience with build systems; Bazel or CMake *Deep interest and knowledge of not only computer science fundamentals, but also of the built foundations. For instance, must know how TCP works. *B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines Highly desired: Experience implementing state machines, behavior trees, graphics systems, AI game systems, simulators, GPU programming, AR/VR applications, computer vision algorithms, or anything else you think might be applicable to robotics and machine learning.
