OpenTeams is looking to hire a remote full-time or contract software developer to join a client team working on a tensor computing and machine learning library for Kotlin. The client intends to release the project as open source. In this role you will author tutorials and examples using the library for inclusion in the documentation of the project. This role may expand in the future to include broader contributions including authoring benchmarks and contributing to the design and implementation of the library. The Ideal Team Member: Is self-directed and has excellent written and verbal communication. Is passionate about data science, machine learning, and has experience with Kotlin. Enjoys teaching data science and machine learning concepts through written material. Is passionate about open source software and is excited about contributing to a new project. Responsibilities Write executable Jupyter notebook tutorials for the tensor library illustrating different tensor and machine learning programming concepts and tasks and their implementation using the language. You may have the opportunity to contribute to the broader documentation of the project as well as to the implementation of the library itself Requirements 2.5+ years of software development experience Experience with Kotlin and Jupyter notebooks Experience with one or more tensor and machine learning libraries; for example pytorch, tensorflow, theano, or mxnet, deeplearning4j, nd4j, and Deep Java Library (DJL) Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Why you should join You'll become an important part of a collaborative, remote-first team.
