iLuminate - Lead Python Developer | Las Vegas, NV | iLuminate.com | Full Time; Onsite, some remote work iLuminate is a company that fuses technology and art in live entertainment (www.iLuminate.com). We are currently seeking an experienced Python Developer. This position is project based with 20-40 hours per week depending on the workload. To be successful as a Lead Python Developer at iLuminate, you should possess in-depth knowledge of object-relational mapping, experience with server-side logic, and above-average knowledge of Python programming. You need to be flexible and able to lead in a quickly changing fast paced environment. Lead Python Developer Responsibilities: * Managing projects, and leading development teams to determine, and execute application requirements. * Writing scalable code using Python programming language. * Testing and debugging applications. * Developing back-end components. * Integrating user-facing elements using server-side logic. * Assessing and prioritizing feature requests. * Developing digital tools to monitor systems. * Develop web applications using python, socketIO, and Javascript. * Experience to deliver under challenging and stressful environment. * If interested, opportunity to travel (domestic/international) and lead coding instruction. Python Developer Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field. * 5-8 years of experience as a Python developer. * Experience managing teams and projects. * Expert knowledge of Python and related frameworks. * Raspberry Pi development experience. * Comfortable using and programming on both Linux and Mac OS based systems. * Experienced Debian-based systems. * Familiarity with various testing tools. * Using serial ports and ttys to talk to embedded devices. * You should be comfortable using and extending make-based builds. * Experience in networking and UDP/TCP socket communication. * Experience with using git in team environments. * Javascript and web development experience. * Ability to lead collaborative projects, and work independently as required.
