Toucan (https://toucan.events) is a post-COVID virtual gatherings platform that makes mingling at an online happy hour as easy as circulating around a physical room or just standing around with a drink and waiting for folks to come to you. The role: We're looking for a seasoned senior full-stack engineer with expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and REST APIs. You're a self-starter with good communication skills who enjoys working in a small team, can design and implement solutions to complex problems, as well as troubleshoot, identify, and resolve server-side and client-side issues. Experience with websockets, Redis, MongoDB, and AWS is a plus. Experience with Hapi, Terraform, identity management, in-browser game development, audio/video streaming, and message queues is a big plus. Candidates with experience in technologies such as Vue, Express, or other cloud providers (ie. GCP, Azure), are encouraged to apply.
