Beeper | Senior Android Engineer | Remote | Full time | UTC -8 to +3 Beeper (https://beeper.com) is a universal chat app. It interoperates with 15+ chat networks including iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc. The foundation of the app is the Matrix protocol, which we've combined with our open source bridges (https://gitlab.com/beeper) and beautiful UI. Chat today is broken. On your phone, you probably have 5 to 10 different chats apps installed. Your contact list is fragmented across them all. There's no unified search, so you have to remember which app each person is on. It's rough. Our goal is to build the best damn chat app on earth. It's live today with 3000 users paying $10/m, and we have 116,000 folks on the waitlist. Beeper is Series A funded, with 25 people on the team. We launched on HN last year and sat at #1 for a day or two (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25848278) We are looking for a talented senior Android developer to join our 2-person Android team.
