We think our synthetic cells can have a huge impact—improve the accuracy of biomedical instruments, lower the cost of drug development and diagnostics, and make healthcare more accessible around the world. We’ve raised a Series A round and the company is still small enough to know everyone. I’m looking for a mission-driven software engineer to help me build out our software for processing and displaying scientific data. An ideal candidate has built or worked on a small-to-medium web app before with modern tools, but I’m not looking for very specific technical experience. Deeper knowledge of any of the following is considered helpful but no single skill is required: back-end, front-end, data engineering, data science, cloud architecture, biology/bioinformatics. You will get to work directly with a small and cross-functional team. You will sometimes need to come into the office to work with scientific instruments and meet with collaborators, but you won’t need to be there daily.
