Academia.edu is hiring engineers in San Francisco. (Foreign applicants are welcome - we have obtained visas for 4 of our team members so far). Academia.edu is a platform for academics to connect and share research. We are building a hyper-connected academic graph, so every researcher has their entire research community at their fingertips. We currently have 1.9 million unique monthly visitors, and have doubled in traffic in the last 6 months.
